We will ride the Tweetsie Trail in J.C. and the Kingsport Greenbelt and other low traffic streets, 20-30 miles.
(a car headlight is ~700 lumens: choose enough power (250+lumens?) and battery time for riding 2+ hours)

Since the long standing Larry's Bicycle Mountain bike fun ride will again not be officially happening with FunFest this year,. Reedy Creek Bicycles has decided to at least get together to have a fun ride in its place, Monday July 11, 6-8PM.
We will meet in the upper Bays parking lot at 530 and start our ride shortly after. There will be no timing and this is a ride at your own risk event. However there might be a jersey available to win. What for, sillyness maybe, we are not sure yet. We are working on adding some strava segments just for this ride.

5th Surviving the Snake (50K,100K) 8:30am, August 1, 2015, Mountain City,TN, $40 before 7/18, The Metric century ride from Mountain City tours scenic Johnson County and includes part of the legendary, winding route known as “The Snake” between Mountain City and Shady Valley. 100K route includes 4.5-mile mountain climb to almost 3,000 feet elevation, and passes under Backbone Rock and through Damascus, Va., a.k.a. “Trail Town USA.” The 50K route is basically the first half of the 100K and does not include the mountain climb.
